Spiritvoyager Explorer Program

Controlled Exploration (4th Quarter)

Congratulations on your achievement of Controlled

Exploration! Contorlled Exploration is a level without end. By this point in the

program your skill, mental status and experience will have surpassed

most others in this art. All that is needed now is a little fine-

tuning to further organize your study and to prepare you for the

psychological snares strewn about in our path to progression. After

provided the methods of practice below the rest is up to you, and

a place amongst the Explorers awaits.

Things You Will Need

1. A red, green, black and blue pen

2. A journal for notes, ideas, tips to yourself and experiments

3. One last journal for recording pure finds

Scientific Method

Scientific Method is one of the most refined and organized ways we

know of today for conducting experiments; the Explorers uses it to

perform experiments in dream dimensional and out-of-body exploration.

This is what your three pens and your journal of notes, tips and

experiments will be used for. The pure finds from experiments will be

recorded in your last journal.

"The Scientific Method"

1. Observation: Observe some aspect of astral projection or lucid

dreaming.

2. Hypothesis: State what was learned from past experience.

3. Prediction: Predict what you think will happen during your out-

of-body and/or dream dimensional exploration.

4. Test: Test your predictions.

5. Alter Hypothesis: If the outcome was not what you predicted,

modify your hypothesis, state prediction and re-test.

6. Theory: When test results seem to be consistent, a theory has

been reached.

Journal Keeping Suggestions

The journals mentioned above are as important to keep as they are

handy; there are so many thoughts, ideas, tips, techniques and

experiences that come with this study that keeping only one journal is

hardly sufficient to stay organized.

Keeping your journal of experiences, whether they are regular

dreams, lucid dreams or out-of-body experiences is pretty straight

forward if you follow the guide lines in the Guide of Basics

under “Make a Journal”. Your journal on notes, tips and experiments,

however a little more complicated, will become the core of your study

because it will contain records of your progression every step of the

way. Following is the method I use in keeping my journal.

With a black pen, record everyday information like simple

ideas and thoughts concerning personal progression in general. With a

green pen, record every experimental idea you come up with and using a

blue pen record any experiments you execute by means of the scientific

method. The red pen is used for recording very important tips, finds,

ideas, and inspiration which often come through meditation and practice;

these you will come to realize are some of the most significant

records you'll ever make.

The Mind Labyrinth

By the time you get to this stage, you will have spent so much time

exploring the dream and out-of-body state that you will see that what

lies on the other side of consciousness is a Mind Labyrinth.

The Mind Labyrinth is a never-ending maze full of psychological snares and

manipulations, and it seems to be alive with

intent to corner us by using our very own beliefs, ideas, and

thoughts against us. Those who learn to recognize the nature of the

labyrinth will use the tools it provides to map a course to never-

ending progression.

How do we learn to navigate the labyrinth? First: we must recognize it. Second: we must learn to understand

the nature of our own thoughts; as it is our very thought that fuels

the labyrinth, and I can tell you from experience that it has a

vicious appetite which feeds on habit and expectation. The labyrinth is no place

for the weak-minded.

Recognizing and Avoiding a Weak Mind

One of the most effective ways of strengthening our minds is through

education, and personal research which helps us to recognize mind

traps.  Mind traps are created by mystical, inaccurate concepts that

would have us commit our minds to a particular method of thought

blinding our eyes and sending us down narrow, twisted paths with no

purpose and no end.

At first thought, it's easy to blame the mystical, religious

world and its leaders for laying down the psychological traps before

us, but think again. In many cases we are our own worst enemy. As

humans, our thoughts often times become so complicated that we find

ourselves bound down and held hostage by them. Have you ever thought

of the worst thing you could and then created another thought to

counteract it? Who is to say that the worst thought isn't more

powerful than the thought you created to counteract? After all, the

worst thought was created first right! For another example, individuals who

believe they can cures others are obligated to believe that others can curse them!

It is for this type of mind trap that some people become so afraid of

astral projection and lucid dreaming; after all the mind games they

find that it is easier to set it all aside and forget about it. If only

they realized the significance of that moment when all their shadowy

thoughts and concerns simply vanish back into the skewed reality from

whence they came. It is no wonder why those who's realities are based

upon mystical beliefs and religious superstitions either don't last long in

this practice or feel that it's evil right from the get go; in their

mind everything is real and anything is possible. These same individuals are told and

accept that they are so weak in mind and body that they cannot exercise true freedome

withouth falling subject to some prefabricated force; this type of thinking is devistating to

our progression as human beings and it is imperative we recognize it.

The best way to stay untangled by thought and belief is to sustain from creating

ideas or accepting beliefs that can so easily be twisted and manipulated to work against

you. Allow your reality to be based upon truth backed by fact and logic. Don't

accept anything at face value and question everything. "Believe what

you know and don't pretend to know what you believe." We are in search

of the truth wherever it may be. Remember, “The secret to life is that there isn't one,

and within that lies the beauty thereof.” Michael Anderson
